Local Campaigns

Merseyside Animal Rights are currently protesting against the following companies because of their involvement in animal abusing industries.

Cricket logo

Cricket

Cricket, designer fashion store, sells the fur of fox, coyote, raccoon, rabbit and mink. The campaign against Cricket has been on going for over a year. The owners of this shop are not concerned about the affect that their business has on countless animals. What they do care about is profit.

Novartis logo

Novartis

We organise a monthly picket at the site of Novartis. They are one of the biggest customers of animal testing to Huntingdon Life Sciences, the biggest animal test laboratory in Europe. HLS kill 500 animals a day, after subjecting them to horrific, painful experimentation.

We organise a monthly picket at the site of Huntingdon Life Sciences. HLS are the largest contract testing laboratory in Europe. They have about 70,000 animals on site, including rabbits, cats, hamsters, dogs, guinea-pigs, birds and monkeys. These animals are destined to suffer and die in cruel, useless experiments. For an insight into what goes on in this facility please click here

huntsabHunt Saboteurs

Despite the Hunt Ban, many hunts are continuing to hunt animals illegally.  It is up to hunt monitors and saboteurs to save their lives.  Sabbing is most Saturdays and midweek from November until April.  Transport is available from our local area.  See North West Hunt Saboteurs for more info on hunting and sabbing.

Barclays Bank

Apart from Barclays being the largest shareholder in the cruel animal testing facility Huntingdon Life Sciences, Barclays are in fact a double target as they also own 12 million shares in NYSE who are the ONLY exchange that trades in HLS shares. Local demos take place in Liverpool. Contact us for more information.

Vegan Food Fayres

Merseyside Animal Rights group holds three vegan fayres a year to promote a cruelty free diet.
